Managing Director
Mathias has over 28 years of experience in the hospitality industry. Throughout his career, he has successfully managed and shaped restaurants, beer gardens, event boats, and numerous large-scale events. His strength lies in managing complex operations with structure and precision, turning every event into a professional and memorable experience.
In addition to his operational expertise, Mathias has developed and implemented his own concepts, including Alice Rooftop and Fairytale Bar in Berlin. His combination of entrepreneurial spirit and hands-on expertise makes him one of the most experienced professionals in the industry.
At qnorke, Mathias brings his knowledge, experience, and high standards to ensure that projects are delivered reliably and events are executed to the highest level.
Bastian Welke
Head Chef
Bastian stands for modern, down-to-earth cuisine with character. With over 15 years of experience in various kitchens, he has worked at renowned establishments including Brasserie Desbrosses at the Ritz-Carlton, Restaurant Mark Brandenburg at the Hilton Berlin, and Oscar in Potsdam.
He combines culinary craftsmanship with creative flair. His dishes are honest, seasonal, and built around high-quality ingredients. Inspired by international food trends, Bastian’s style remains deeply rooted in regional cuisine. He loves bold flavors, enjoys cooking to music, and his secret ingredient is, quite simply: butter.

Manager
Christopher brings people, brands, and ideas together. As an experienced manager with extensive expertise in the event and hospitality industry, he ensures that events at qnorke run smoothly and leave a lasting impression.
Whether it’s a large-scale event, corporate celebration, or private gathering – Christopher’s keen sense of organization, atmosphere, and timing turns every idea into an unforgettable experience.
