This place has a story to tell.
History Meets Design
The old officers’ casino in Maselakepark was designed in the early 20th century by renowned Siemens architect Karl Janisch Hertlein. An impressive architectural landmark, the building has preserved its unique character and charm to this day.
During World War II, the building was severely damaged. The grand dining hall was destroyed in 1943, and the building was divided into two halves. The smaller dining hall is now an extension of the restaurant and can also be used for special events.
What was once a place for military gatherings is now a space for connection, dining, and hospitality. Within this listed architectural ensemble, history meets modern architecture, while an industrial atmosphere blends with warm, inviting design. Today, the old casino is home to around 20 stylish hotel rooms – peaceful, refined, and steeped in the history that continues to live on here.
